TIP

Before customizing your theme, duplicate it to create a backup copy. This way, you can easily undo changes and start fresh if needed. Learn how.

Edit

1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin.
2. Click on ••• → Edit code
3. Use the search bar to find the file you want to edit.
4. Click to open the file.
5. Make your changes and click Save

Create

1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin.
2. Click on ••• → Edit code
3. Navigate to the directory where you want to create the file (e.g., Sections).
4. Click Add new (e.g., Add new Section).
5. Delete the auto-generated boilerplate code.
6. Paste your custom code.
7. Click Save

Remove

1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin.
2. Click on ••• → Edit code
3. Locate the file you want to delete.
4. Right-click on the file and confirm its removal.

Upload

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Content → Files.
2. Click Upload files
3. Select up to 20 files to upload.

   Each file can be up to 20 MB in size.

4. Click Open to upload the files.
5. To get the file URL, hover over the file, click the , then click Copy link
