Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs have a fixed structure and do not adapt to the user's navigational history, therefore they cannot show the previous page the user visited.

Activate

1. From Shopify admin, go to Online store > Themes

2. Click Customize

3. Click Theme settings then Breadcumbs

4. Toggle Enable to enable/disable breadcrumbs.

5. For product's Parent category; you have the option to select between;

   • Vendor
   • Collection
   • Collection-aware

6. Click Save

Vendor

This will display the product's vendor, instead of a collection.

Collection

Because Shopify does not allow you to specify a primary collection for a product, the first collection listed in alphabetical order will appear on product pages when the product is assigned to several collections.

Collection-aware

This option overrides the usual behavior of showing the first collection listed in alphabetical order and instead displays the exact collection from which the user navigated from to the product page. This only works if the user is coming from a collection or the collection is included in the product's URL.
